Vineyards are located at altitudes ranging from 220 to 900 metres above sea level. Grapes are growing on steep slopes, for example at Brenntal, one of South Tyrol’s hottest sites, or in the district of Graun at 900 meters above sea level.
Soil conditions vary. Thanks to differences in altitude, soils and aspect different grape varieties find optimal growing conditions on different terroirs. Grapes meeting the high quality standards make it into the SELECTION line, known for its wines rich in typicity and finesse.
Only wines from the most promising vineyards, with low yields and expressing their unique terroir, are bottled for the TERROIR line, most of its wines named after their place of origin.
